About Lughati

A first-of-its-kind initiative in the Arab world, ‘Lughati’ is a manifestation of the belief of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah that the Arabic language is a crucial contemporary component for scientific and social progress.

Lughati aims to empower the national Arabic curriculum with state-of-the-art smart learning tools that includes tablets, software, and technical training. Its aim is to assist children in using Arabic in interactive ways in pursuit of science, knowledge and the humanities. Also, to encourage them to incorporate the language into their daily lives.

Lughati is introducing smart devices, software, and training programs to learning environments across Sharjah. The goal is to enhance creativity and encourage an engaging and proactive approach to the integration of Arabic into everyday use. The initiative also manages training programs for both faculty members and students to better equip them with the technical knowledge needed to effectively incorporate the scheme.

Community agreements

The Lughati initiative seeks to facilitate the learning of Arabic language among children through the use of smart  applications. As a result, Lughati has signed a number of community agreements that will facilitate teaching methods in schools and language institutions, and help children develop their Arabic language skills.

Lughati has signed these agreements with:

  • Sharjah Center for Learning Disabilities
  • Initiatives by the Department of Social Services for the Education of Children and the Elderly, including a children’s caravan for disadvantaged persons deprived of their right to education
